i7-980x processors, Intel Core i7-970, six-core Xeon Mac Pro
We had already talked to the reasonable opportunity to see the six-core Xeon Mac Pro with the introduction of i7-980x processors and Intel Core i7-970. The news is rumored to be marketed soon, next Tuesday.
The first model of the Mac Pro that, according to rumors, will debut next week is based on Ex-core Core i7-980x, with these features:
- 3.33 GHz (TurboBoost up to 3.6 GHz)
- 6 cores / 12 threads
- Architecture 32 nm
- Socket LGA1366
- 130W TDP
The use of technology so powerful would mark a generational leap forward for the flagship of the fleet of Cupertino, and would undoubtedly enormous benefits to users in terms of sheer processing power. Nothing has transpired at the time about the graphic industry, but earlier rumors indicated the Radeon HD 5870 as a possible choice.
