Canon has announced the release of the Canon EOS E1 video plug-in for Final Cut Pro, the professional video editing software from Apple. This new plug-in allows simple and easy transfer of video content from machines Canon EOS DSLR directly in Final Cut Pro

In particular, the video plug-in supports the Log and Transfer in Final Cut Pro, allowing you to select the video before actually copying them to your Mac, add custom metadata, and insert clip in the background so that the installation can begin immediately.

EOS E1 video plug-in is compatible with Final Cut Pro 6 or above and currently supports Canon EOS 5D Mark II, EOS 7D and EOS 1D and soon will be available from Apple’s download page.
