BMW Supports iPod Out
BMW, iPod Out
iPod Out is a new feature that is almost unknown in the IOS 4. Steve Jobs did not talk with key presentations from the new operating system and Apple is not even mentioned in their website.
Basically, as long as the iPod, Apple’s portable devices equipped with touch screen, iPod Touch (second or third generation), iPhone and iPad will forward their own interface to external devices connected to them.
This means that, for example, if you connect the device to one of our BMW or Mini, the display in the dashboard we can choose to display the IOS 4, rather than the classic board computer system. In this way we can check the IOS commands directly through the car instead of having to operate on our gadget store so that we can be safe in several magazines.
Features that can be accessed in this way are completed and will be the ability to increase the volume to the possibility of Genius mode. All without taking your hands off the wheel and remove the device without Apple’s involvement from the housing.
In fact, Apple has designed this program since 2008 when he patented was used through an external interface. Clearly IOS 4 eventually allow the implementation of this feature that would be good for all holders of the Bavarian car.
Here’s a demo video released by BMW:
